CartografiaResistente, a bottom-up critical geography laboratory we contributed to animate twenty years ago, is being reactivated in conjunction with the adventures of the Biomechanical Venus. The sculpture is a traveling emblem of social struggles in Florence, recently landed at the GKN factory, which is self-managed by its workers in struggle.
On May 26-28, we will be getting to Cecco Rivolta with many contributions to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the student squat that has been transformed into atypical experience of social housing self-regeneration by its inhabitants. Laura Colini will participate in a site visit and panel discussion about housing issues; CartografiaResistente will conduct an urban derive and present the first results of the cycle of laboratories reviving the memory of the insurgent city; and Lorenzo Tripodi will present his book Urbiquità alongside Tiziano Bonini and the Ippolita collective in a discussion about the role of algorithms in shaping our society.
