Bridge for Billions launches incubation program to promote entrepreneurship in Lucca & Pisa

IN-HABIT Lucca is a European Horizon 2020 project that aims to promote inclusive health and well-being through strengthening the relationships between people and animals in the local economy and public spaces. The official partners of this project are the City of Lucca, the University of Pisa, Lucca Crea and Tesserae.

Bridge for Billions developed an incubation program within the IN-HABIT project to support ventures that improve the quality of urban life by better mobilizing existing animal resources through social innovation processes and the creation of new entrepreneurial projects in the two Tuscan cities. This program aims to train and support early-stage entrepreneurs, through the support of experienced mentors, in the development of their business project in Lucca or Pisa.

The program is completely free for selected participants and will last for four months. It will include weekly mentoring sessions with volunteer mentors who will work alongside the entrepreneurs during the program. It will be held online and totally in Italian on the Bridge for Billions’ certified learning platform.

The call for applications to be an entrepreneur/mentor is open until January 16, 2023 on the program’s official website: https://programs.bridgeforbillions.org/in-habit-lucca/

General requirements for entrepreneurs:

  • Have a business that operates/will operate in Lucca or Pisa
  • Be a founder/entrepreneur with passion and willingness to dedicate at least 8 hours a week for 4 months
  • Have access to a computer and a stable internet connection

General requirements for mentors:

  • Have a minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience
  • Have access to a computer and a stable Internet connection
  • Be willing to dedicate at least 1.30 hours per week to the mentoring program

IN-HABIT Lucca è un progetto europeo Horizon 2020 che mira a promuovere la salute e il benessere inclusivo attraverso il rafforzamento delle relazioni tra persone e animali nell’economia e spazi pubblici locali. I partner ufficiali di questo progetto sono il Comune di Lucca, l’Università di Pisa, Lucca Crea e Tesserae.

Bridge for Billions ha sviluppato un programma di incubazione all’interno del progetto IN-HABIT per sostenere le iniziative che migliorano la qualità della vita urbana mobilitando al meglio le risorse animali esistenti tramite processi di innovazione sociale e la creazione di nuovi progetti imprenditoriali nelle due città toscane. Il programma ha l’obiettivo di formare e sostenere gli/le imprenditori/trici in fase iniziale, attraverso il supporto di mentori esperti/e, nello sviluppo del loro progetto imprenditoriale a Lucca o Pisa.

Il programma è completamente gratuito per i/le partecipanti selezionati/e e avrà una durata di quattro mesi. Esso prevede sessioni settimanali di mentoring con mentori volontari/ie che affiancheranno gli/le imprenditori/trici durante il programma. Esso si svolgerà online e in italiano sulla piattaforma di apprendimento certificata di Bridge for Billions.

  • Avere minimo di 3-5 anni di esperienza professionale
  • Avere accesso a un computer e a una connessione internet stabile
  • Essere disponibili a dedicare almeno 1 ora e 30 alla settimana al programma di mentoring
