25 years of Cecco Rivolta

On May 26-28, we will be getting to Cecco Rivolta with many contributions to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the student squat that has been transformed into atypical experience of social housing self-regeneration by its inhabitants. Laura Colini will participate in a site visit and panel discussion about housing issues; CartografiaResistente will conduct an urban derive and present the first results of the cycle of laboratories reviving the memory of the insurgent city; and Lorenzo Tripodi will present his book Urbiquità alongside Tiziano Bonini and the Ippolita collective in a discussion about the role of algorithms in shaping our society.

Navigare tracce, memoria e desideri nella città sommersa.

26-27-28 giugno 2025 – via Pietro Dazzi 3, Firenze

Il Cecco Rivolta festeggia venticinque anni di vita e resistenza con una tre giorni di eventi, dibattiti, musica e festa collettiva. Dal 26 al 28 giugno, la storica casa autogestita sulle colline di Firenze apre le sue porte alla città per riflettere insieme sulle trasformazioni urbane, sociali e politiche che hanno segnato questo quarto di secolo.

Apertura giovedì 26 giugno: brindisi collettivo e “Perimetri”.

La festa si apre con un brindisi collettivo, un gesto semplice ma potente per celebrare la comunità allargata che ha attraversato il Cecco Rivolta in questi anni. A seguire “Perimetri”, un percorso guidato attraverso gli spazi della casa e del terreno su cui sorge, che invita a percorre il perimetro di un luogo con una storia collettiva. Lo spazio si dilata, inglobando passato, presente e futuro, e ogni stanza racconta storie di mutazioni, conflitti e trasformazioni.

Gli ospiti e gli appuntamenti da non perdere:

Cartografia Resistente, propone un’ esplorazione urbana (giovedì 26 ore 20) e un workshop (venerdì 27 ore 20). Nato nel 2004 come laboratorio di geografia critica ed esplorazione psicogeografica, Cartografia Resistente ha attraversato luoghi simbolo dell’attivismo fiorentino negli ultimi mesi, seguendo il viaggio della scultura itinerante Venere Biomeccanica.

L’obiettivo è ridisegnare una mappa delle aree in agitazione e delle iniziative di auto-organizzazione nella metropoli sommersa di Firenze, mettendo in connessione le contro-geografie del passato e del presente attraverso la pratica della deriva urbana.

Giovanni Guidi, (venerdì 27, ore 22,30) tra i pianisti jazz più apprezzati in Italia e all’estero, porta al Cecco Rivolta la sua musica intensa e lirica. Con una carriera iniziata giovanissimo accanto a Enrico Rava, Guidi unisce jazz contemporaneo e free, incarnando un talento raffinato e impegnato socialmente. 

Con Slavina (venerdì 27, ore 17) attivista transfemminista, insieme a Roberta Parigiani, ​​Vicepresidente del MIT – Movimento di Identità Trans, Attivista Trans ed Avvocata Civilista parleremo del corpo come campo di battaglia e spazio di liberazione contro il controllo sociale e le leggi transfobiche. Tra violenze, desideri e resistenze, il Cecco Rivolta esplora la trasformazione di corpi disciplinati in corpi selvaggi, riappropriandosi di piacere, tempo e relazioni oltre le norme imposte.

Venere Workshop (venerdì 27 ore 17) invita a riflettere su come restituire spazi vuoti alla comunità, immaginando gestioni condivise e non proprietarie. In una Firenze sempre più privatizzata, l’uso temporaneo può diventare tempo generativo, dando vita a presìdi sociali, culturali e sportivi gestiti dal basso e fuori dalle logiche di mercato.

Ippolita (venerdì 27, ore 18,30), gruppo di ricerca indipendente in filosofia della tecnologia, guida il talk “Algorhythm’n blues” per sviluppare uno sguardo critico sulle tecnologie e il loro ruolo nel controllo sociale. Con Lorenzo Tripodi e Tiziano Bonini, si esplorano algoritmi, città digitali e forme di resistenza collettiva

Anna Brambilla (sabato 28 ore 11,30) con il talk “Derive Securitarie”, un’analisi critica della produzione legislativa del governo Meloni, che attraverso decreti emergenziali – come il Decreto Rave e il Decreto Sicurezza – costruisce presunte emergenze securitarie e criminalizza soggettività marginalizzate: migranti, giovani, attivisti e chi difende spazi pubblici. Un’occasione per mettere in luce le derive repressive e discutere di diritti, controllo sociale e resistenza.

Il Cuore Scoperto (sabato 28 ore 17,30) talk a cura di Non Una di Meno Firenze, Zorras e Associazione Vanvera, che ha curato la traduzione del famoso podcast francese Il Cuore Scoperto, progetto di Victoire Tuaillon che mette al centro l’amore come tema politico. Non un argomento banale o sdolcinato, ma una forza plasmata da norme e immaginari culturali profondamente radicati. “Il Cuore Scoperto” invita a mettere in discussione tutto ciò che di normato e oppressivo condiziona le nostre relazioni affettive, per aprire nuovi orizzonti desiderabili e provare a rifare l’amore in un mondo libero dalle oppressioni sistemiche.

Cecco Rivolta 2000-2025 è più di un anniversario: è un appello a Firenze per riattivare energie, desideri e progetti che tengano viva la città come spazio pubblico, collettivo e aperto.

Il Cecco Rivolta celebrates twenty-five years of life and resistance with three days of events, debates, music, and a collective party. From June 26 to 28, the historic self-managed house on the hills of Florence opens its doors to the city to reflect together on the urban, social, and political transformations that have marked this quarter-century.

The celebration opens on June 26 with a collective toast, a simple yet powerful gesture to celebrate the extended community that has been part of Cecco Rivolta over the years. Next, “Perimeters,” a guided tour through the spaces of the house and the land on which it stands, invites you to traverse the perimeter of a place with a collective history. The space expands, encompassing past, present, and future, and each room tells stories of mutations, conflicts, and transformations.

Guests and must-see events:

Cartografia Resistente proposes an urban exploration (Thursday 26 at 8 PM) and a workshop (Friday 27 at 8 PM). Born in 2004 as a laboratory of critical geography and psychogeographic exploration, Cartografia Resistente has traversed symbolic places of Florentine activism in recent months, following the journey of the itinerant sculpture Venere Biomeccanica. 
The objective is to redraw a map of the areas in turmoil and the self-organization initiatives in the submerged metropolis of Florence, connecting the counter-geographies of the past and present through the practice of urban drift.

Giovanni Guidi, (Friday the 27th, at 10:30 PM) one of the most appreciated jazz pianists in Italy and abroad, brings his intense and lyrical music to Cecco Rivolta. With a career that began at a very young age alongside Enrico Rava, Guidi combines contemporary and free jazz, embodying a refined and socially engaged talent.

With Slavina (Friday 27, 5 PM), transfeminist activist, together with Roberta Parigiani, Vice President of MIT – Trans Identity Movement, Trans Activist and Civil Lawyer, we will talk about the body as a battleground and space of liberation against social control and transphobic laws. Between violence, desires, and resistances, Cecco Rivolta explores the transformation of disciplined bodies into wild bodies, reclaiming pleasure, time, and relationships beyond imposed norms.

enere Workshop (Friday the 27th at 5 PM) invites you to reflect on how to return empty spaces to the community, imagining shared and non-proprietary management. In an increasingly privatized Florence, temporary use can become generative time, giving rise to social, cultural, and sports initiatives managed from the grassroots and outside market logic.

Ippolita (Friday 27, 6:30 PM), an independent research group in the philosophy of technology, leads the talk “Algorhythm’n blues” to develop a critical perspective on technologies and their role in social control. With Lorenzo Tripodi and Tiziano Bonini, they explore algorithms, digital cities, and forms of collective resistance.

Anna Brambilla (Saturday the 28th at 11:30 AM) with the talk “Securitarian Drifts,” a critical analysis of the legislative production of the Meloni government, which through emergency decrees – such as the Rave Decree and the Security Decree – constructs alleged securitarian emergencies and criminalizes marginalized subjectivities: migrants, youth, activists, and those who defend public spaces. An opportunity to shed light on repressive trends and discuss rights, social control, and resistance.

Il Cuore Scoperto (Saturday 28 at 5:30 PM) talk organized by Non Una di Meno Firenze, Zorras, and Associazione Vanvera, which has handled the translation of the famous French podcast Il Cuore Scoperto, a project by Victoire Tuaillon that places love at the center as a political theme.
