During August 2019 Laura helped out Adam Holt, volunteer of Internet-in-a-Box to document his work as system-manager in remote schools in Oaxaca and Chiapas. Internet in a box goal ist to the “World’s Free Knowledge (Wikipedia, Khan Academy, OpenStreetMap, E-Books and many others) to those who are offline — e.g. anybody nearby with an old smartphone, tablet or laptop”. We worked with teachers and children in the schools of Monte Alban in Oaxaca, and the schools of Techpatan, and Chamula.
From July 30 to August 5 the “Santa Marta Sem Fronteiras” cocreation workshop took place in Rio de Janeiro. Five days of activities and site visits in the Santa Marta favela involved more than 20 researchers from the partners organisations.
