EduCity

The city as a learning space

Duration February 2022- January 2024

The project will train an emerging professional figure, that of neighbourhood facilitator, to support fragile adults in becoming aware of their territorial resources and activating processes of participation and civic engagement.

The Edu-City partnership will develop a specific methodology based on three key-needs identified by the project:

  • to valorise place-based knowledge and competences of fragile adults living in deprived urban contexts;
  • to involve in participatory bottom-up processes fragile adults from five urban contexts;
  • to train specialised professional figures that work in the neighbourhood valorising local resources and promoting social engagement;

Direct targets of the project are 20 professionals trained by the project as facilitators and 50 adults that will be involved in five local labs coordinated by the trained professionals to develop participatory bottom-up processes.

IN-HABIT

IN-HABIT is an Horizon 2020 project led by the University of Cordoba. The overall objective of IN-HABIT is to foster Inclusive Health and Wellbeing in peripheral small and medium size cities by means of mobilizing resources around a core topic and galvanize them through solutions that integrate cultural, digital, nature-based and social innovations applied to the co-design, co-development and co-management of urban public spaces. Tesserae has a core role in the project, leading WP5 dedicated to the engagement of citizens and stakeholders all along the five years project. We are in charge of delivering a methodological toolkit for civic engagement (Stakeholders Engagement with Gender and Diversity perspective Toolkit), training the local community activators of the four cities and supporting their PPPPs, steering the co-production of four Inclusive Transition Pathways, and finally reporting and disseminating the experience.
