„Durch Unsere Augen“

Mehringplatz Kino shows

After an unforgettable film gala for the premiere of the film ‘𝗗𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝗲𝗻’, we will have the chance to watch the film again on Saturday 14th of September under the night sky of Mehringplatz as part of the open-air cinema programme of the Quartiersmanagement.

The film was supported by Tesserae in the frame of the Edu-City project in a year-long process in which the group the women acted as directors, scripters as well as sound and photography technicians.

This film narrates the stories of a group of arab women living in the area of Mehringplatz. Between anecdotes, everyday activities, joyful encounters and reflections of the past and the future, these women open up to the camera, to each other and to the world. The film is a love letter towards friendship and the concept of home, but also a critique of the challenges that this group of women experience in their everyday life as they integrate and disintegrate into Berlin. The film is a collective narration in between poetry, everyday life and past experiences that invites to share the joys and struggles of these group of neighbours, mothers, migrants and above all, humans.

The admission is free.
