UPPER Kick-off in Latina

Friday December 13th  the UIA project UPPER was presented to the citizenship at the Palazzo Comunale of Latina. The day included a panel with the participation of other Italian cities that have won an UA grant in the fourth call, and the first laboratory facilitated by Tesserae to engage local stakeholders in the co-design process of three productive areas and eight test sites for Nature Based Solutions. The event was highly participated, including citizens of all ages, school students, representatives of local associations and communities, and we captured a wide range of suggestions, ideas and energies ready to be invested in this project.

The laboratory coordinated by Chiara De Grandi, Diletta Damiano and Lorenzo Tripodi started with an exercise of stakeholders mapping which lead to dividing the participants  into four tables, each one discussing a general question / aspect of the project. The overall aim of the session, to collect ideas, available resources  and connect groups of local  stakeholders around a common interest was fully achieved. We look forward the continuation of the process through the seven co-design labs that will happen between January and June 2020.
