Within the Project “Zeig mir dein Hohenschönhausen: Aus Erinnerungen Zukunft bauen!” we participated the Creative-market, which is organised by the initiative Platz der Vielfalt and takes place every second week at Prerower Platz. We set up a stand, at which neighbours could stop to talk about and share their memories in the district. The memories were collected and marked in a big map of the neighbourhood. Additionally, small maps of the area could be used to make a collage of personal memories. Thus, diverse perspectives on Hohenschönhausen could be collected and displayed.

We had the chance to have great talks with neighbours who shared with us nice and heartwarming stories and memories of their district. To connect these stories with the location, we went on a mission to draw symbols with chalk on the ground of the places, where the memories were formed. Furthermore, pictures were taken of the sites and posted, together with the stories, on our instagram account @ZeigMirDeinHSH, to archive the memories sustainably. With the #ErinnerungenInHSH the collection of stories can be found, shared and also complemented. Have a look at our channel, gain new perspectives on the district of HSH and share your own personal memories of the area using the hashtag! (disclaimer: the project language is German)
