URBEX - Training in Palermo
From January 28 to February 2 took place in Palermo the first week of training of the Erasmus plus project URBEX. The intense week was attended by 25 professionals from five cities and was dedicated to develop a common methodology to employ urban exploration as an educational tool for youth at risk of exclusion.
Good practices and exercises presented by the partners of the project are combined in a toolset for Urban Explo providing guidelines for the five local laboratories that will be carried by the partners in five European cities. Tesserae will collaborate with KMA-Antenne (Kreuzberger Musikalische Aktion) in the area of Mehringplatz in Berlin, developing a laboratory of urban exploration with local youth.
The aim is to develop a map and a guided tour of the area lead by youth, and to foster a reflection on issues and opportunities of this territory from the perspective of young inhabitants. The participants will have also the opportunity to join the second week of training in Palermo together with peer groups of youth from Ljubljana, London, Albacete and Palermo.
