Regenerating commons - Civic E-State
This project is the result of an Ad Hoc expertise commissioned by the City of Naples to Lorenzo Tripodi, in the framework of the URBACT Transfer network Civic e-State. This network aims at guaranteeing the collective enjoyment as well as collective management of urban essential facilities conceived as urban commons. It promotes a public-community governance approach to secure their fair and open access, participatory decision-making, sustainability and preservation for the benefit of future generations.
The specific purpose of the contract to define a set of guidelines aimed at the adoption of a city regulation for the self-recovery of public buildings occupied by groups of citizens and managed as commons. Tesserae is supporting the research on practices of self construction and self recovery of buildings for public use and examples of public regulations on bottom up regeneration processes.
